Photography competitions are a great way to enhance your skills and the photographs you produce. The Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh have just announced details of the 2013 competition. More information can be found on their website.
Following the success of last year’s competition we are excited to announce that we will be running another next year. The competition will be officially open to entries in March 2013 and will run until 31st August 2013.
The Categories
The competition has been expanded in 2013 to feature two extra categories:
Garden View
A landscape taken in any of the four Gardens. Note: images should not feature any identifiable people.
Plant Portrait
A plant (tree, shrub or flower) either singly or in a group of the same plant, or a close-up, taken in any of the four Gardens.
Abstract
An experimental or expressionistic photograph (could be of a plant, an animal or a view of one of the Gardens.
Wildlife in the Garden
Animals, insects or birds taken in any of the four Gardens.
Young Photographer
Photographers under the age of 17 can enter their pictures into this category.
